Casting Crowns Former Drummer Injured in Motorcycle Crash

Casting Crowns former drummer, Andy Williams was in a serious motorcycle wreck last Sunday while on his way to church.

The band is asking that everyone please stop and pray for Andy’s full healing and especially for God’s peace upon his wife, two sons and extended family during this time.

In a post shared by Andy’s church they gave this update earlier this week, “Doctors performed an emergency surgery this morning on Andy’s left leg. They did their best to save the leg but unfortunately they had to amputate right above the knee. This news is very disheartening, but the family is asking to not let this change the direction of your prayers. Pray LIFE into Andy, pray that he WAKES UP, pray that his organs function properly and pray that God is glorified through this trial.”

Andy Williams was the drummer for Casting Crowns from 2001 – 2009, but has remained a dear friend to the band.

We’re sending prayers to Andy!

*Update on July 14, 2021:

We are so sad to share that Andy has passed away

Mark Hall of Casting Crowns shared this message, “While we mourn that Andy isn’t here with us and that we didn’t get to witness the miracle we longed for here on earth, all of our prayers were answered. He is healed, he is awake and we believe that he is more alive today than he has ever been. We hold fast to Paul’s words that we look not to the things that are seen, but to those things that are unseen, for they are eternal. We celebrate that Andy is in the arms of his Savior and we are grateful for the memories and laughter that Andy brought to all who knew him.”

Our prayers are with Andy’s family during this difficult time.
