Tasha Layton Shares Positive Message After Tough Start to the Year

Many times we’ve heard Christian authors say they wrote the book they didn’t know they were going to need some day. And Christian artists have shared that God gave them a song to write that would minister to themselves someday. Well, we believe that Tasha Layton has done just that.

She shared on her Instagram a few weeks ago that the month of January had a series of unfortunate events and scary moments. She said, “At the beginning of January I was in the hospital for some weird virus thing that attacked my intestinal track. I was down for the count for 10 straight days in bed while Keith [her husband] held down the fort here with the kids. At some point Keith got Covid (we never got it). Then Lyla and I took a very bad spill in a parking lot and she sustained a skull fracture and a brain bleed. She was rushed to the ER at Williamson, then taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt where she was admitted… such a scary situation that no parent ever wants to walk through.”

Thankfully, her and her family are all well and recovered from those trying times. But even after all of that, she shared her praise for God and gratefulness for friends and neighbors who helped her through in a variety of ways.

We wonder if Tasha Layton might be feeling so uplifted as the words to her song “Into the sea (It’s Gonna Be OK)” have encouraged her through these times, just like the lyrics have helped many others:

Though the mountains may be moved into the sea
Though the ground beneath might crumble and give way
I can hear my Father singing over me
“It’s gonna be okay, it’s gonna be okay”

Maybe you’re going through some tough times as well. We want to know – what is a song that has really been speaking to your heart and soul this week to bring you encouragement? Share with us in the comments!
