Ryan Stevenson Celebrates 10 Years of “Eye of the Storm” With Special Kids Version
It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since Ryan Stevenson released “Eye of the Storm,” a song that went on to connect with listeners around the world.
To celebrate the song’s 10-year anniversary, Stevenson is doing something especially meaningful. He’s recorded a new kids version of “Eye of the Storm,” featuring his children alongside the children of his late friend and original collaborator, Gabe Patillo.
Patillo, who was featured on the original song, passed away from cancer two years ago. For Stevenson, bringing their children together to sing the song creates a special way to honor Gabe while celebrating the impact “Eye of the Storm” has had over the past decade.
Stevenson shared that watching the next generation take on the song has been an emotional experience, especially seeing Gabe’s children and his own children come together for the new version.
It’s a pretty special way to mark 10 years of a song that has reminded so many people that God is with us, even when life gets stormy.
