We Are Messengers Performs “Image of God” with Vince Gill
We Are Messengers recently had the distinct honor and privilege of recording a live and acoustic version of “Image of God” with 21-time Grammy winner, Vince Gill!
When you make music, you never really know who is going to hear and be impacted by your songs and that is exactly what happened for We Are Messengers.
Darren Mulligan, lead singer from the band shared, “I couldn’t believe it when, Vince Gill, said he’d do a version of “Image of God” with us. Then I really couldn’t believe it when he was cool with us coming to his home studio in Nashville, TN and recording this live, raw, stripped back version of one of the most important songs we’ve ever released.”
Darren went on to say, “What does a living legend like Vince Gill have in common with a guy from a tiny village in Ireland? But, then it made sense. Vince really loves God and he gets it. After all, we are brothers, one and the same, both of equal value to our Father God. You see Vince, you and I are made in God’s perfect image. Now that’s something to sing about!”

WOW ! As tears roll down my face I realize that Vince, not a preacher has always …. always brought me closer to God with his music and sometimes words. Was that an accident… or did God do that on purpose?
