for KING + COUNTRY’s Drummer Boy Celebrates World Premiere in Nashville

After weeks of sharing updates about Drummer Boy, the new musical film from for KING + COUNTRY, the movie has officially celebrated its world premiere!

The premiere was originally scheduled to take place at the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. However, due to a water line break at the venue, organizers had to make a last-minute change and move the event to Belmont University in Nashville.

Despite the unexpected change, guests were notified and the premiere went on as planned. The brothers behind for KING + COUNTRY, Luke and Joel Smallbone, were there alongside the film’s cast to celebrate the big night.

Drummer Boy follows two brothers during the American Revolution who find themselves on opposite sides of the war. As a musical, the film also features original music written by Luke and Joel themselves.

The brothers have shared that many of the songs actually date back to their Burn the Ships era. The album, released in 2018, marked a significant season in the duo’s music career. While the songs had been written years earlier, they hadn’t found the right place for them until Drummer Boy came along.

Now, those songs have found a home in a story that brings together music, history, and faith.

Drummer Boy is officially in theaters now. Click here for more information about the film and to find tickets near you!
