Jeremy Camp and Chris Tomlin Announce New Christmas Albums
You may not be ready to put up the Christmas decorations just yet, but some of the artists you hear here are already giving us a little preview of the season.
One project we’re keeping an eye on comes from Jeremy Camp. He’s been working on a Christmas album with his wife and kids. We usually hear Jeremy’s voice out front, so the chance to hear the family making music together adds something a little different to this one.
And Chris Tomlin has new Christmas music on the way, too. Remember the children’s book we just told you about? His new album shares that same title, Good News of Great Joy. The album arrives November 6, just four days before the book.
There’s a reason those two projects belong together. The title points back to the angels announcing Jesus’ birth to the shepherds. The book brings children into that story, and the album gives families songs to celebrate it.
The first song, “It’s Christmas Time Again,” is already available. Chris says it grew out of wanting to capture the feeling of spending Christmas with the people you love. That idea helped get the whole album started.
So there’s some new music to add alongside the songs that have been part of your Christmas for years. And we’re already listening through new releases as we put together our annual Christmas Around the World show. We’re looking forward to sharing some of those discoveries with you!
