Natalie Grant and Amy Grant Honor Dolly Parton at the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards
Our favorite night in Christian music, the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, aired this past weekend, and this year TBN turned the celebration into an entire week dedicated to Christian and Gospel music with its first-ever “Worship Takeover.”
Throughout the week, TBN featured special programming from artists including CeCe Winans, Tauren Wells, Matthew West, Elevation Worship, Michael W. Smith and more, leading up to the big night.
And then it was time for the Dove Awards!
One of the most beautiful moments of the evening was a special tribute to Dolly Parton. An American singer-songwriter, actress, businesswoman and global cultural icon, Dolly rose from deep poverty in the Tennessee mountains to become one of the most beloved and influential entertainers in the world. Throughout her career, her faith has remained an important part of her story and music.
The tribute began with a clip of Dolly herself singing “How Great Thou Art.” Then Natalie Grant and Amy Grant took the stage and continued the song together.
Both Natalie and Amy were dressed in pink, while the entire auditorium was illuminated in pink, creating a beautiful visual tribute to Dolly.
The performance then transitioned into a medley that included Dolly’s own iconic song, “I Will Always Love You.”
It was a beautiful celebration of Dolly’s faith, her music and the incredible impact she has had on generations of listeners and artists alike.
