Phil Wickham Takes Home Artist of the Year and Worship Album of the Year at the Dove Awards
Phil Wickham had a pretty incredible night at the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, taking home two awards: Worship Album of the Year and Artist of the Year.
As he accepted Artist of the Year, Phil shared about the incredible privilege of being able to write songs for Jesus and lead believers in worship.
In his acceptance speech, he reflected on the joy of seeing people sing the songs he has written back to Jesus, saying, “I would have the honor of filling the mouths of believers with new songs.”
He also shared how grateful he is for every opportunity to lead people in worship, whether that’s on a Dove Awards stage, in a home fellowship or at his home church.
Phil had two beautiful moments on stage throughout the night, and both of his acceptance speeches offered a glimpse into the heart behind his music and ministry.
