NEEDTOBREATHE Donates $1.4 Million

At the end of 2021, the members of alternative Christian rock band NEEDTOBREATHE hosted an event called “NEEDTOBREATHE & Friends One Night Only Supporting One World Health” in an effort to raise funds with artists like Thomas Rhett to raise money for a cause they’ve supported for over a decade.

One World Health provides affordable, sustainable, and accessible medical care to people living in East Africa and Central America. By the end of that event, they and their guests had raised over $1.4 million dollars! Since they began their partnership with One World Health, the total donations they have raised has exceeded a staggering $6.5 million!

And with each ticket NEEDTOBREATHE sold from their Into the Mystery Tour last year, they donated $1 to an organization called For Others, which educates the nation about the crisis in the foster care system in the United States. Ticket sales along with their “text to give” feature during their concerts raised $1.1 million dollars for the organization For Others.

We love to see artists giving back, and this has always been the heart of NEEDTOBREATHE. The lead singer Bear Rinehart said, “​​“Our band has always aimed to do more than make music and play shows. We have always felt we have a responsibility to use our platform as a vehicle for change—acknowledging the power of music throughout history to bring people together and do good for others.”
